Fair Use Policy
Effective Date: 6.27.26
AskZac is designed to provide affordable, high-quality AI support for educators and other professionals. To ensure reliable service, platform stability, and a positive experience for all users, subscriptions are subject to this Fair Use Policy.
Normal Professional Use
AskZac subscriptions are intended for normal professional use, including but not limited to:
- Parent and family communication
- Student behavior support
- Documentation and record keeping
- Lesson and instructional planning
- Professional communication
- Problem-solving and decision support
- Administrative and school-related tasks
The vast majority of users will never encounter any usage restrictions.
Excessive, Unusual, or Abusive Usage
We reserve the right to review usage patterns that significantly exceed typical use of the platform or that materially increase operating costs, impact system performance, reduce service quality, or interfere with access for other users.
Examples may include:
- Automated or scripted use of the platform
- Account sharing outside of an approved organizational license
- Use of bots, crawlers, or automated tools
- Attempts to circumvent usage controls or platform safeguards
- Extremely high-volume usage that substantially exceeds normal professional use
- Activity that negatively affects platform performance, reliability, or availability
- Use of AskZac primarily as a general-purpose AI platform unrelated to its intended educational and professional-support purposes
Usage Monitoring
To maintain service quality and sustainability, AskZac may monitor aggregate usage metrics, including but not limited to:
- Requests submitted
- Session activity
- Feature utilization
- Resource consumption
- Platform operating costs associated with account usage
Monitoring is conducted for operational, security, quality-assurance, and service-management purposes.
Fair Use Review Process
If an account exceeds reasonable usage thresholds or exhibits unusual activity patterns, AskZac may take one or more of the following actions:
- Contact the user regarding usage patterns
- Recommend a different subscription plan
- Offer alternative usage options
- Apply temporary usage limits
- Restrict access to specific features
- Require migration to a Professional, Organizational, School, or Enterprise plan when usage substantially exceeds that of a typical individual account
- Suspend or terminate service in cases of abuse, fraud, or repeated violations
Whenever reasonably practical, AskZac will attempt to notify users before significant restrictions are applied.
AskZac's goal is to work with users to identify the most appropriate plan for their needs rather than restrict legitimate professional use.
Future Subscription Plans and Usage Options
As AskZac evolves, additional subscription plans, organizational licenses, expanded usage options, or enhanced service tiers may become available.
AskZac reserves the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue usage limits, subscription plans, pricing structures, and service offerings. Users will be notified of material changes in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Users whose usage substantially exceeds that of a typical individual account may be offered or required to migrate to a Professional, Organizational, School, or Enterprise plan designed to support higher-volume use.
Service Protection
To maintain platform reliability, AskZac may implement technical measures such as rate limits, usage thresholds, session limits, or other safeguards designed to prevent abuse and ensure fair access for all users.
Our Commitment
This policy is not intended to restrict legitimate educator use. Our goal is to provide generous access while maintaining a reliable, sustainable, and affordable service for individual educators, schools, and organizations.
Most users will never be affected by this policy.
